Great Milwaukee Classic
January 19-20, 2007
The Great Milwaukee Classic was held January 19 and 20, 2007 in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was another terrific show again this year
with over 60 rooms open for in-room trading and approximately 250 tables of
great antique tackle and collectibles at the show. This year, there
seemed to be a number of unique and seldom seen baits available for sale and
trade during in-room trading and at the show. In addition, the show
featured two-days of silent auctions packed full of great collectibles.
These items were sold for a lady who's father passed away earlier this year.
He was a closet collector and never belonged to the club. Everything went
through the silent auction tables on Friday and Saturday. There were about
forty tackle boxes, almost 300 reels, about 30 duck decoys and even a lobster
trap! There were prints, books, calls and so on.
Special thanks to John, Barb, Bob, Chris and many others who always put on a
wonderful show! Be sure to check out photos of the show below,

This won the Best Display award. There were cases upon cases of great
Wisconsin baits. Each was well documented with information on the baits
and many photographs of the inventors, etc. This was probably the
best display I've seen and very educational.
If you've never been to a regional show, be sure to try and attend one of the
Region 6 shows or the NFLCC National meet.
It is great fun, very educational, and always a nice opportunity to "talk
tackle" with club members and friends.
