NFLCC and Region 6 ShowsCongratulations to Tom Schofield (standing left) for winning the 2007 Best One Day Show Award (Wisconsin Dells) and John Collen (far right) for winning the 2007 Best Region Award (Region 6)! The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) is a non-profit, educational, international organization founded in 1976. The primary objectives of the NFLCC are to foster an awareness of fishing tackle collecting as a hobby and to assist members in the location, identification, and trading of vintage fishing-related equipment. The NFLCC encompasses every aspect of collecting fishing-related tackle and ephemera (i.e. Reels, rods, catalogs, advertising, minnow traps and buckets, creels, photo's, etc.), not just fishing lures. Anyone interested in vintage fishing tackle is welcome to join the 5000 members worldwide in the largest organization devoted to this hobby. Visit the NFLCC site to learn more and become a member! NFLCC shows and events are a chance to get together with other collectors and buy, sell, and trade fishing tackle. You must be a member to attend an NFLCC-sanctioned show, but you can usually get a temporary membership or buy a full membership at the show. You can usually participate in room trading before the show. You can rent tables at most shows, but reserve early, as many popular shows sell out! There are various
NFLCC regional shows held
throughout the year as well as the NFLCC National Show which is held each July. Region 6 consists of North and South Dakota,
Minnesota, Wisconsin, and portions of Canada. Contact the NFLCC Region 6 Vice President,
John Collen at (262) 632-4735 or
JCollen1@wi.rr.com if you have questions about Region 6 NFLCC activities.
